STS Browser

STS Browser is a Ruby package that provides your program functions to access WWW documents via HTTP, providing authorisation mechanisms (base 64), proxy access and session maintenance (cookies).

It currently supports the following authentication protocols:

Custom headers
Basic authentication
Proxy authorization - no authentication
Proxy authorization - Basic authentication
Cookies - static cookie string

The following http components are also handled:

http 0.9, 1.0 and 1.1
https/ssl/tls - does not verify if certificate is present by default but is capable
Cookie handling - sets static cookie in header
HTTP Proxy handling only
